"Unrelenting (Practice)" Artist's Description:

This is purely the result of wanting to test a theory that's been floating around in my head. I just couldn't take waiting to give it a shot, so I pushed bedtime back a bit :P

I've never tried to make a supernova like piece before so that makes this my first. Which means I know I've got a lot to improve ;)

I kept this piece really simple, only including stars. And my fractal textures might be a bit too big. But I think I learned a lot from this first tryout, about perspective, lighting, and elements. Hopefully I can take what I learned this time around and make something much better the next, adding more to give it real impact :)

This is very well done. Love the dynamic sense of motion and the feeling of intensity.

However, I would have gone with a fully opaque or no frame. The transparent frame makes it look like you have a cut off layer of some kind. It took me aback for a moment.

Otherwise it's great!

Thanks.
I actually wasn't too afraid of the cut off layer look since it's a perfectly straight and even border and it's a style I've seen before. But I can see how it might look wrong at first. Thanks for the input!

No problem. Plus, granted, it could be the screen. As much as I love flat screens, color and shading display is still a bit of a problem, sadly... could be it's just showing more or less on people's screens.

Holy mother, this is absolutely awesome! :D
I love the shockwave around the nova, and the angle and particle stream
looks just intense. Excellent effect with the black and white here, too- it
emphasises light and dark.

I hope to use my experience and keep improving, like with all my other work.

But of course. After all, experience is how we improve. :)
Why thank you! ^^
