"This is the Right Station" Artist's Description:
I remember growing up on old Star Trek: The Next Generation tapes my dad had recorded off TV. It seems like forever ago now, what with so much of life being totally digital. But I somewhat remember watching these tapes. I remember sometimes seeing these stand by screens, or whatever they're really called. And I remember a voice-over, something about 'this is the right station, centered and surround,' only I don't know for sure. I wish so much I could remember it better, but I guess my brain's been filled with so much other junk it's hard to recall things that really matter.
Which reminds me. Do you think if I printed this out and stuck it over my face, my instructors at school might take the hint?
. . . . .
Back to spacescapes, fractals and Bryce practice soon. I just had this idea pop into my head and went for it.
I used some paper textures from CGTextures and some paint brushes from Brusheezy. Paintify it all up in Photoshop, not sparing the colored bars and there you go. Although my blue did come out purple.
I love the texture.
i really like it
