Disregarding my artistic right will result in my army of fire breathing llamas hunting you down and destroying you where you sit. And if that doesn’t work, we’ll sic the lawyers on you. You have been warned."Of Outward Comfort" Artist's Description: I decided to waltz a little bit out of my comfort zone and came up with this. Admittedly this was done a bit hastily while I was watching Enterprise. But I leaned over and showed it to my dad, and now he's using this as the startup screen on his little Acer. I was going to adjust some of the lighting and stars, but I guess now this version has sentimental value; this is the first time he specifically requested I give him one of my space art pieces

The planet texture was a new technique for me. I wanted to get a soft, almost gas planet kind of texture that didn't compete with the rest of the image. And I developed a new (or at least new to me) technique for lighting the planet without relying on blending options. So I think I was successful in my attempt to expand my horizons. Although next I'm planning to create a planet with more detail
